From the mist-shrouded forest, you hear heavy footsteps snapping dry branches and startling the local crows. As the sounds grow closer, the outline of the Binder’s silhouette becomes more vivid. Her face, weathered by experience and interwoven with wrinkles, carries the patience of stone. A small, barely distinguishable rat-like Familiar creature flickers around her clothes. From beneath the Binder’s cloak, the curious gaze of another Familiar peeks out restlessly. Hiding behind a tree, you continue to watch as they slowly make their way through the thicket. Until suddenly, the Binder and her companions are caught in a trap with no escape, fully surrounded by you and your clever Familiars that helped you with their divination powers. Ambushed! You are safe - for now. The ruthless whispers foretell bad auguries for those who mingle with Familiar spirits…

Game features

Your goal is to trap the opponent’s Binder or every familiar before they trap you.

Each turn, you move your Binder and familiars across the board or place walls to create new paths and hideouts for the units.

The puzzle levels are predesigned, where the CPU has a simple patrol sequence to train different strategies.

Multiplayer mode allows two people to play against each other either using the same device or via a link cable.

Ambushed Game Rules

Ambushed is a two-player tactic game played in turns.

The GOAL is to either:
- Capture the opponent's BINDER
- Capture all of  their FAMILIARS

On your turn, you can choose between:
- Moving one of  your PIECES
- Placing a WALL

Walls can be placed at an EMPTY cell, near the EDGE of the BOARD, near any other PIECE, but NOT against another WALL. Once a WALL is placed, it stays on the board for the rest of the game.

Pieces move ORTHOGONALLY and SLIDE until they:
- REACH the EDGE of the BOARD
- FIND a  WALL
- FIND another PIECE from the same TEAM
- CAPTURE a PIECE

Any PIECE can capture EVERY other PIECE. If the ATTACKER is lower or equal in SIZE than the CAPTURED PIECE, the ATTACKER STOPS. If not, CONTINUES moving.

The BINDER is the highest in SIZE. The RAT is the smallest. The DEVIL is smaller than the BINDER but bigger than the RAT.

This game has so much style! I love the prerendered 3d animations for the portraits, it's so cool, and the tutorial book has so much love put into it! Plus, the game is fun too!

I wish I could try the LINK cable mode, that's so cool that you implemented that feature too

Thank you so much! I am very happy you liked it ✨ The LINK cable mode is basically the same as the local match but each player plays on its own device, nothing too fancy yet
